NEURAL ORGANIZATION TECHNIQUE/N.O.T.
This approach has been developed by Carl Ferreri (Doctor of Chiropractic in New York) since the late 60s. He created a synthesis of several approaches such as :Applied Kinesiology by George Goodheart DC, the Sacro Occipital Technique by De Jarnette DC, Cranial Techniques by Upledger DO,Chiropractic Techniques,Acupuncture and added a number of personal observations.
It is a functional approach of the physiology that aims to address chronic problems from a different angle, to reduce the number of interventions necessary and provide stability over time.
THE BASICS OF N.O.T.
Anthropologists agree that we were created to exist in a hostile environment. The human body, like any other species, has the innate reflexes necessary for survival in its environment.
Our body has a natural ability to heal and all our functions, intelligent and coordinated, are directed toward a single goal: SURVIVE.
Thus, we have “innate intelligence "to adapt, compensate and recruit energy where it is needed.
To ensure this mission and maintain its life force, the body is specifically organized with survival systems, each contributing to the harmonious functioning of the whole and each dependent upon a good organization and balanced functioning of the other systems. Everything is controlled by the nervous system and the endocrine system.
Any interruption in the smooth functioning of these survival systems as well as their interactions will first bring up a number of functional disorders and eventually a pathology.
There is no "in between" in the jungle.
We have nothing else to help us to survive, therefore everything must act or react through these survival systems.
